This position involves working with confidential customer information; supporting Loan Officers, the Chief Credit Officer; loan software, data entry, and general clerical tasks.

The ideal candidate has two or more years of experience in a support role in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, which served the needs of multiple employees. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Provides a positive customer service experience in harmony with our Customer Service Standards and Principles and Professional Standards.
  2. Analyzes business tax returns, financial statements, and personal tax returns (including K-1s) using financial spreading software, excel spreadsheets, etc. for cash flow analysis.
  3. Works with underwriters, loan officers, and borrowers, if needed, to collect necessary financial documentation and information to satisfy loan covenant requirements.
  4. Conducts Annual Term Loan Reviews for Bank’s real estate secured loan and C&I portfolio, orders site inspections, completes spreading (property specific and global cash flow), completes due diligence by reviewing financials and market data.
  5. Under supervision, conducts financial and risk analysis of ACH Origination requests.
  6. Performs comprehensive financial and risk analysis on small business loan requests by preparing credit memos for review by Credit Underwriting Manager.
  7. Completes borrowing base/collateral analysis.
  8. Understands and ensures compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures. Keeps up with changes to banking regulations and completes Bank training.
  9. Assists with special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two years of progressively responsible experience in a high demand, multi-tasked professional position
    • Associate’s Degree or equivalent from a two-year college/technical school in a related business field may substitute for experience
  • Strong computer skills; experience with Microsoft Office Suite programs including Word, Excel, Outlook

PREFERENCES

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics, or related field
  • Previous experience in banking, commercial lending, finance, or accounting
  • Previous experience in one or more of the following:
    • general accounting principles
    • basic forms of financial documents; i.e. tax returns, schedules, and financial statements
    • tax analysis methods and financial analysis tools
    • interpreting financial documents
    • loan origination software
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • English/Spanish Bilingual

  10. Assists with training, coaching, and mentoring to Credit Analysts.

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Two years’ experience in a credit analyst role including:
    • loan origination software
    • general accounting principles
    • basic forms of financial documents; i.e. tax returns, schedules, and financial statements
    • tax analysis methods and financial analysis tools
    • interpreting financial documents
  • Advanced computer skills; experience with Microsoft Office Suite programs including Word, Excel, Outlook.

  • Completion of formal commercial credit training
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics, or related field
